As you may have heard, the Alabama Department of Public Health has recommended that all non-emergency dental procedures should be postponed until at least April 10th. If you are a current patient at Twickenham Family Dentistry, we have already reached out to you about rescheduling teeth whitenings, dental check ups, and all other elective procedures at our Huntsville, AL dentist office. But what about dental emergencies? In a recent interview with Waff 48 News Dr. Cook explained how emergency dentists can operate during the pandemic:

The dental board has given us full permission to treat patients for general health and pain and well-being. We’re not looking for anyone to suffer or anyone to go through an extended period of time with swelling or discomfort or something that’s an emergency.

This means that you can still get immediate treatment for a broken tooth, chipped tooth, toothache, and other urgent dental issues, without going to a potentially overcrowded emergency room.
